Dr. Md Ehteshamul Hoque, Professor & Head of the Department of Clinical Oncology at Anwer Khan Modern Medical College Hospital. He is also working as “Director” of the same hospital from January, 2015. Anwer Khan Modern Medical College Hospital is 800 bedded multi-disciplinary & renowned specialized hospital. Dr. Md Ehteshamul Hoque has been working as an Oncologist in Bangladesh for about 20 years. After completion of M.Phil. he joined as Resident surgeon, Radiation Oncology Department at Dhaka Medical College Hospital, Dhaka, Bangladesh. In 2004 he became Assistant Professor, Department of Radiation Oncology, National Institute of Cancer and Research Hospital (NICRH), Dhaka. He had worked in various renowned Hospitals in Bangladesh such as Dinajpur Medical College Hospital, Ahsania Mission Cancer Hospital. Now He has been working as Professor & Head, Department of Clinical Oncology. He is also a consultant of Cancer Unit of United Hospital Ltd.
He is the member of BMA, BSRO, BCS(National). He is also the member of ASCO,ESMO,CSRO,ASTRO,ESTRO (International). During these periods he had participated in various Training programs & gained valuable clinical experiences. He also Joined various National & international oncology conference since 1999. He attended conferences such as ASCO, ESMO, ESTRO, COSA, MOGA, ACOS, IASLC, IGUCC-5 and many others. He is author of 20 national & international publication in renowned journals all over the world. He presented scientific papers in ASCO,ACOS & ESMO. He has the experience of being panelist of different scientific program & session in different program. He is presently a popular media person in various TV & Radio programs on cancer & cancer awareness in different TV channels & Radio stations.
He has his interest in both Radiation & Medical Oncology as well as Palliative care treatment. He is related with the teaching of undergraduate medical student as well as postgraduate oncology student since 15 years. He is also involved with national & international research & clinical trials and present study report in different conference. As in Bangladesh Radiation Oncologist is still taking whole care of cancer patient, he has the experience of clinical consultation of both chemotherapy & radiotherapy patients as well as palliative care. He has been working continuously for the development of Oncology in Bangladesh.
